Special Guest at up/rooted

If you didn't hear the news yet, up/rooted will be visited this month by Wahu Kaara, a current Kenyan presidential candidate and 2005 Nobel Peace Prize nominee for her work fighting global poverty. The Psalters will also be joining us to grace us with their musical talents. You will not want to miss this unique opportunity as Ms. Kaara challenges us to "Wake Up to Poverty".

The gathering will be on Monday, July 31st, at 7pm. We are meeting at the Socall home at 26W325 Torrey Pines Ct., Winfield, IL 60190.

I hope you all can make it. And please, spread the word. The Socall's home can hold dozens of people, so invite your friends and neighbors to this if you like. And if you've never been to up/rooted before - or especially if you've just heard about us through the recent CBS segment on the emerging church - this would be an excellent first time to join us and get to know our community a little bit.

Blessings,

Mike Clawson
up/rooted co-coordinator

P.S. If you need a ride, please let me know. We can arrange transportation from any of the local Metra stations or other locations (given enough advanced warning). We don't want anyone to miss this for lack of transportation.
